Beryl var. Morganite
This is a shockingly gemmy, bright, sparkling specimen of Himalaya Mine morganite, from the hands of the mine owner who collected it and from his collection where it has been for decades. Morganite is extremely rare in the Himalaya, found in only a few pockets in modern times (early 1900s and then again in the 1970s-1980s). This is an etched crystal, but still a complete crystal nonetheless with sharpness and beauty. It has a pastel pink color in person. It is complete all around, and 22 grams. From the personal collection of Bill Larson, mine owner, who collected it in the 1980s and held until 2022 in his company's educational and promotional showcase of beryls.
