A stunning cabinet display specimen composed almost entirely of Mottramite occurring as black micro-crystallised druses over a contorted and folded pistachio-green Mottramite and grey Dolomite matrix. The Mottramite's pistachio-green colour is only visible in one tiny area on the display face and as exposed rims in the highly vuggy and porous underside. Although Mottramite occurred in all zones of the mine, this specimen has the appearance of an early find, due to the patina of the matrix and gossan-like texture. A superb example of this very dark form of Mottramite.
