Neatly crystallized colorless and mostly gemmy calcite on matrix. Some cleaving present, still quite nice.Wenshan, located in southeastern Yunnan Province, China, has a long history of regional agriculture and localized resource extraction that expanded significantly with modern industrial mining. Geologically, the area features complex tectonic and sedimentary formations influenced by regional orogenic movements, creating favorable conditions for carbonate-hosted ore systems and multi-metal deposits. Mineralogically, the Wenshan mining district has gained international renown among mineral collectors for producing exceptional specimen material, most notably vibrant, robin's egg blue botryoidal crusts of hemimorphite.
