Dravite Tourmaline$950.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A pair of stout, bronze-brown Dravite crystals from the Pomba Pit, Brumado, Brazil. These are from early mining and finds at the Pomba Pit and the piece consists of two, robust, translucent to slightly transparent, rich bronze-brown crystals of Dravite Tourmaline each 3.3 cm long and 2.7 cm wide that have slight striations parallel to their c-axes. These were found "frozen" in the matrix so they are unterminated at one end and have combined contacted along with crude, small Dravite Tourmalines at the other end. The back is contacted and their are a couple of other, small, intergrown Dravite crystals at the periphery. Some small, off-white patches of altered Magnesite are present in places for contrast. This was acquired a few decades ago by Tom Epaminondas in Brazil and has his collection number on the back and was later acquired from him by Tom Campbell on a trip to Brazil. Ex.
