Superb cluster of bladed, complete crystals of Anhydrite from the Campiano Mine in Tuscany (from finds in the 1970s, I was told). The largest crystal, which is doubly-terminated, is an impressive 9.4 cm tip to tip. The Anhydrites have a fabulous, alluring, pearlescent luster that simply cannot be captured adequately in the photos. In addition, they are festooned with dozens upon dozens of fluorescent Calcite scalenohedra, many doubly-terminated. This is certainly one of the best Anhydrite specimens I have seen from the region on the market in the USA, and I have only seen a few for sale even in Europe over the last 20 years of looking. Much better in person, as for some reason the crystals are not as reflective to the camera as they are to the eye.
