This is a classic gwindel quartz form the old Furka locality, which is known for being softly smoky, and very gemmy. The piece is window-clear, transparent and not only translucent. It is difficult to see in the photos, but if you watch the video you will see a subtle curvature to the edge, and subtle features that make this very distinct and different than most gwindel quartzes. It is elongated and elegant, and has such a nice balance with the smaller prismatic quartz nestled at its base. This was formerly in the collection of Dr. Francesco Bedogne, as well.
