Ojuelaite with Beudantite, Cerussite, and Goethite
This specimen of ojuelaite, a rare, zinc iron arsenate hydroxide hydrate, originates from the type locality: the Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. Divergent tufts of creamy white, sub-millimeter, acicular crystals of ojuelaite are concentrated in a few tiny vugs on the specimen; one vug in particular (marked by an arrow) is exceptionally good. Clusters of green-brown, micro beudantite crystals are found locally on the piece and one worth noting is highlighted with an arrow. Ex. Paulo Matioli collection. Also accompanied by Dakota Matrix Minerals (Tom Loomis) label. These are so rare in valid specimens that they are almost nonexistent on the market.
