This spectacular cabinet‑grade calcite specimen forms a naturally figurative rabbit‑like silhouette. It is composed of dense, stacked thin bladed‑rose calcite crystals growing in successive hydrothermal phases. Delicate petal‑like blades fan outward and overlap densely, tapering upward to a double peak resembling rabbit ears, creating a lifelike natural sculptural form without any artificial carving or modification.
The soft pale‑pink tone comes from trace manganese and iron impurities inside the calcite lattice. Crystalline blades retain sharp edges and smooth vitreous luster, with fine texture across the whole cluster. The rear side shows solid massive calcite matrix for stable support.
Collected from the historic Fengjiashan‑Tonglushan mining district of Daye, Hubei — a world‑renowned Chinese locality for aesthetic calcite specimens.
