The stepped crystal faces are well‑preserved with natural luster, forming a symmetrical pyramidal silhouette without artificial carving or polishing.
Collected from classic mining localities in Daye, Hubei, China. Manganese substitution within the calcite lattice produces vivid, saturated cherry‑red fluorescence under long‑wave ultraviolet light. The specimen appears milky off‑white under daylight and transforms dramatically into glowing crimson under UV excitation, a highly desirable feature for fluorescent mineral collections.
