Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and this represents a very good and in fact surprisingly large crystal specimen from an unusual California locality for the species. It is a relatively large, beautiful, rich blue, crudely formed crystal measuring 5.9 cm in maximum dimension; and is associated with several intergrown crystals of cream colored, translucent, subhedral crystals of Wagnerite, a rare magnesium phosphate, to 1 cm. This is a great association piece for the two species! However, we have no comparables...having never seen anything even remotely of this size and importance for what it is.
