These exquisite and complex native coppers from the Chino Mine were found just in one small area of the pit called "Townsite Island" in July 2006 and are now exceedingly hard to obtain. This is a spectacular, complex, very bright, metallic copper colored miniature consisting of at least three Spinel Law twins for its entire, nearly two-inch length that is very intricate in that it is adorned with numerous, sub-crystals of copper from top-to-bottom resulting in a very convoluted and very sculptural form that is just mesmerizing! This piece is particularly sharp, and shows the characteristic twinning flanges flaring off around the side of the main axis of the elongated spinel-twinned copper. Although several hundreds of smaller crystals were recovered, only a relative handful of perfect, doubly-terminated miniature coppers of this size magnitude were found. Superb!
