Mont-Saint Hilaire hardly needs an introduction; this rich carbonatite mountain has provided us with troves of new and unusual minerals. While Elpidite can be found in many other granitic complexes in the world, none of them have produced the same quality as these Canadian ones. An 8 cm slender spray of elegant eggshell white long crystals with a dusting of millimetre small pyrites makes this a very elegant specimen and one of the best for the species.
