At nearly 5 cm across, this bright blue cluster of cavansite packs a serious punch! The crystal fans out atop, like a blue flower opening, and shows discrete and isolated crystals, not just the usual "balls" we expect of the mineral. It looks like a blue sea anemone, organic and moving to the eye. This intense, vibrant blue cavansite crystal cluster is accented by a matrix of sparkling stilbite and a stack of starkly contrasting stilbite blades nearly 1 cm wide, atop the cavansite. This is a superb specimen of deep blue, lustrous cavansite that was among the finest of a parcel of cavansite specimens accumulated by a friend in India over the last 20 years, all with the best hot blue color. Truly excellent cavansites that stand out from the rest are exceptionally rare. This is one.
