Tucson, Arizona, USAA superb specimen of excellent black metallic Manganite crystals from the classic locality of Ilfeld at Nordhausen in the Harz mountains of Germany. The crystals are mixed with tiny colourless to milky-white Quartz crystals and sit on a matrix of densely packed Manganite crystals. The Manganite crystals measure up to 2.5 cm long and 1 cm thick and have deeply striated prism faces, parallel to their long axis. With the exception of two or three outwardly facing main crystals, all have perfect terminations, making this a very fine display specimen that is accompanied with an old handwritten label.
