Absolutely gorgeous grouping of gem quality glassy elbaite crystals. this is naturally crystallized all around and in perfect condition.
The Rubaya mining district in the Masisi Territory of North Kivu, DR Congo, is primarily known for intensive artisanal and industrial extraction of coltan and cassiterite that intensified through the late 20th and early 21st centuries, alongside a significant modern expansion into gem-quality tourmaline production beginning around 2014. Geologically, the area is situated within the Kivu metallogenic province, featuring lithium-bearing granitic pegmatites intruded into regional metamorphic rocks. These complex pegmatite bodies yield rare-metal mineralization alongside cavities producing exceptionally clear, sharply terminated crystals of elbaite (a complex sodium-lithium-aluminum cyclosilicate member of the tourmaline group) noted for vibrant zoning in pink, green, and blue hues.
