ADULARIA$750.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
An impressive sheave of solid crystallised Adularia, a low-temperature variety of Orthoclase Feldspar, from Tujetsch in the Vorderrhein Valley, Grischun, Switzerland. The Adularia forms a flat, parallel-sided V-shaped wedge of crystallised Orthoclase, uniformly milky-white, translucent and with a bright glassy lustre. The whole specimen is essentially a highly flattened rhombohedral crystal which at one end bifurcates into numerous smaller 1 to 1.5 cm high crystals forming a sawtooth edge. No point of attachment is visible, indicating this specimen is a floater. A classic and impressive Alpine Adularia complete with a lovely old Freiberg label.
