Here is a highly lustrous, tabular, metallic charcoal-gray crystal of Tantalite-(Fe) from an unusual Brazilian locality. The crystal is striated on the broad faces and and shows subtle, thin, prismatic crystals in low-profile parallel growth. It displays a partial face at the top terminal corner otherwise contacted. It is a very nice and very hefty Tantalite-(Fe) crystal from Brazil weighing in at 386 grams, a large and displayable example of this species.
