Translucent with a hint of gemminess, the largest crystals of emerald here reach 3.5 cm and they are quite lustrous. Surprisingly, they also have a red fluorescence, along with the brilliant white fluorescence of the Calcite. In a side view of the piece, you can see how the Emeralds grow in the Calcite seams within the fractures of the matrix rock. This is a very nice, highly representative and appealing large, small-cabinet specimen with abundant Emeralds. Rich cluster of lustrous, attractive green Emeralds from Colombia, not the finest but definitely a nice reference specimen and a large display piece for the price.
