Glassy and gemmy, colorless quartz crystals to 7.8 cm in length are partially encrusted by a thin layer of drusy, lustrous, white dolomite which, in turn, is festooned with many lustrous and translucent, orange colored crystals of scheelite, to 5 mm across. In person you can see there are numerous stages to the quartz growth, and overgrowth, which creates subtle complexity. The piece overall is 3-dimensional and incredibly sparkly. Photos simply cannot convey the combination of sparkle and luster here.
