Boleite, Brochanite, Anglesite and Paralaurionite
A great complex combination specimen from Tiger with a variety of mineral species and textures! The highlight of this piece are the well-formed, equant microcrystals of blue boleite that look fabulous with a loupe or under the microscope! The majority of the piece is coarse, granular, glassy anglesite with local areas of tiny anglesite crystals replacing primary galena. Locally green, granular brochantite is replacing anglesite and possibly paralaurionite. Most of the paralaurionite occurs as colorless, platy microcrystals scattered within the coarse anglesite. Leadhillite may also be present. This is probably a 70+ year old piece originating from mining on the Mammoth vein. Ex. William Pinch collection with label.
