A very neat example of triphane (the golden/yellow variety of spodumene) from the Dara-i-Pech District of Afghanistan. This area is known for producing exceptional specimens of this species and others. This particular example has a wonderful association of gem quality smoky quartz and albite, making for a unique specimen with lots of display potential. Neat!
