While famous for tourmalines, this world-class tourmaline mine has, very rarely, given up a few small pockets of rhodochrosite. This is one such rhodo from the famous Pederneira mine in São José da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It features crystals to 1 cm on edge, perched on unusual prismatic, elongated crystals of muscovite. I know it is hard to believe but reportedly, this pocket was found in the 1990s (several similar are shown on MINDAT: https://www.mindat.org/photo-516220.html and https://www.mindat.org/photo-301695.html).
