A very sharp, triangular-shaped, nearly textbook single crystal of Benitoite heavily included with "Crossite" fibers from the California State Gem Mine in California. While not gemmy and bright blue, this is still a textbook crystal of a very rare species. These Benitoite "triangles" as some people refer to them, are a completely unique to this mineral that only formed good crystals in this unusual geologic occurrence a strange, aberrant deposit on Santa Rita Peak in the Diablo Range of California. No other mineral species looks like these and this well-formed crystal is heavily included with "Crossite" fibers coloring the crystal a dull grayish blue.
