The ArkenstoneFeatured
Previously in the famed Jack Halpern Collection, the 2.6 cm fluorapatite in this superb specimen has a great, mirror-like luster and a deep, olive-green color. Well-balanced visually, the piece is in fine, nearly pristine, condition. The bright, golden fluorescence of the fluorapatite is riveting, and it really helps highlight the hexagonal form and the sharp, narrow bevels along the edges. And the contrast with the pink fluorescence of the albite adds even more to the overall interest and beauty. From finds in the early 2000s, it seems likely that the great Sapo Mine will never again produce such quality and aesthetic fluorapatite. A large “box buster" thumbnail specimen or, a small miniature. Comes with a custom base.
