As miniature Cobaltoan Smithsonites go, this is an absolute corker. It really does have everything going for it that one would expect for the perfect miniature specimen. Colourful, like a vivid bubble-gum pink sweet, with sumptuous rounded gummy crystals draped around a sculpturally perfect partly concave cavity on one side, but the damage-free crystals continue around the undulating sides of this beautiful piece. Despite being rounded in form, careful examination shows each crystal to display an intriguing complexity of faces, with their resinous to waxy lustre adding to their allure. Individually these crystals reach 5 to 6 mm in size, but it is their perfection in appearance which makes this specimen so special. An absolutely top drawer Tsumeb miniature.
