Collector’s EdgeFeatured
The Tsumeb mine in Namibia has produced smithsonite specimens in just about every color and crystal form, and the locality is almost universally-acknowledged as having produced the world’s best examples of the species. This large, impressive specimen features lustrous, translucent pink cobaltoan smithsonite crystals which form highly aesthetic large rhombs on matrix. This fine Tsumeb smithsonite is in excellent condition and displays nicely from multiple orientations. The largest smithsonite crystal is nearly 2.5 cm which is quite large for cobaltoan smithsonite at Tsumeb. Sits on a custom acrylic base for display. Classic!
