The imperial topaz crystals from Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais have long been considered Brazilian classics and amongst the finest for the species/variety. This historic topaz came to us from the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences collection – and likely dates back to the early 1900s or even older. Fantastic color, and glows a deep red/orange when lit up the c-axis
