This happens to be even more particularly interesting as it is a tennantite pseudomorph after enargite, per Dr. Georg Gebhard, from the famous Tsumeb Mine. The original 9 cm, parallel growth, doubly terminated, original enargite crystals along with a few sidecar crystals from 1.3 to 3 cm, have their original form faithfully preserved subsequent to the replacement by tennantite. The crystals have an underlying matte gray color that is highlighted by a medium green-blue partial coating of another blue mineral (these used to be labelled as chrysocolla but is probably posnjakite), for great contrast and added aesthetics. An excellent and attractive pseudomorph from Tsumeb. Illustrated in Collecting Pseudomorphs: The Changelings of Mineralogy (Mineralogical Record, Jan 2025) on 84. Laszlo Kupi photo.
