Here is a perfectly balanced, twinned Calcite with that rich and deep amber color that is literally the classic form and color and luster that we want most in Elmwood Calcites! At a full five and a half inches long, this beautifully doubly terminated crystal has a combination of strong color, great translucency and transparency making this a visually impactful and classic piece from the 1970s-1980s era of mining here. It is nearly pristine with a couple of small, internal asterisms just below the surface and then point of attachment on the bottom. It sits perfectly horizontally. Excellent for the locale, this is not simply representative but a major specimen of the historic past from a major USA location. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Goethite ps.
