Serandite
A lustrous, salmon-pink, tabular prismatic crystal of Serandite from the classic finds at Mont Saint-Hilaire in the 1980s. This piece is a single, well-formed, translucent to opaque, saturated pink color that is faintly striated on its prism faces and terminated by a pair of shallow sloping pyramid faces. There are some small, scattered white clusters of 1 to 3 mm Epididymite crystals on one side and the top of the piece as well as some small black Aegirine crystals at the bottom, both for added character and contrast. The crystal is in excellent condition. It is the absolute best locality in the world for the species by a mile, and this is a very nice representative single crystal. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Siderite with Chalcopyrite (SYP25-11a) and Siderite ps. Serandite (SYP25-11b).
