A single, huge and dramatic Moroccan Vanadinite crystal that is incredibly glassy and lustrous as well as gemmy to translucent! It's a superb crystal that measures nearly an inch across and has an intergrown sidecar crystal that helps it sit nicely on its own. The broad front face, sides, back and the sidecar crystal all have gem areas and there is some incipient skeletal growth in places that look like damage, but it isn't. There is only one area of contact on the sidecar at the bottom where it was intergrown with another Vanadinite crystal, otherwise excellent! For a single geometric, typical crystal, it is a standout. Probably from a 2008 find. Featured in the book Collecting Pseudomorphs: The Changelings of Mineralogy (Mineralogical Record, January 2025) on p. 68, fig. 13. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Vanadinite ps. Wulfenite (SYP25-03b) and Wulfenite on Quartz (SYP25-03c).
