Serandite
This is a very sharp, textbook, very well-formed, terminated, slightly translucent, salmon-pink Serandite crystal from Mont Saint-Hilaire. Serandite is a rare sodium-manganese silicate and Mont Saint-Hilaire is the best locality in the world for the species, This crystals has a whitish drusy coating of an undetermined species on top, side and back. A great thumbnail. Featured in the book Collecting Pseudomorphs: The Changelings of Mineralogy (Mineralogical Record, January 2025) on p. 70, fig. 17. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Rhodochrosite on Sphalerite (SYP25-06a) and Rhodochrosite ps. Serandite, Natrolite (SYP25-06b).
