Wulfenite
Yellow Wulfenite is rare from the famed, and now closed, Tsumeb Mine - or from anywhere, really! And this is a yellow Wulfenite with a structure more like Vanadinite, for some reason! This butterscotch-toned shade of yellow is enhanced by the gemminess and high, glassy luster. Look closely, and you can see just how complex and interesting the growth is for these tabular Wulfenite crystals, that really do look like hoppered yellow Vanadinites (but are not). The largest crystal is nearly 2 cm, and all possess this attractive set of color, luster, and clarity. The crystals are in good condition, 360 degrees complete; and being more complex than average leads to being above-average for aesthetics, as well. It certainly draws the eye and seems to us a very unique thumbnail specimen. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 35978.
