A fine pair of zoned Anglesite crystals from Tsumeb - very rare in such quality! A lead sulfate, the crystals are thick, 2.3 cm and 2 cm wide, respectively. The zoning here is quite well-defined, with each crystal having a dark, cinnamon-brown core. In particular, the 2 cm crystal is especially gemmy, showing just how sharp the interior zone is and just how clear the outer portion of the crystal is. This is an attractive and interesting large thumbnail of a sought-after species. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 39670. The number dates it to the 1970s or early 1980s finds.
