A sharp, disc-shaped crystal of rhodochrosite shows unusually thin form here, and is nicely balanced on a miniature sized matrix. No damage, and an elegant display! Association with sphalerite is a nice accent! Steve bought much Chinese material in quality miniatures up at the time, as he was based in Hong Kong in the early 2000s. He then sold/traded them to the rest of us. This miniature, he kept for nearly 2 decades in his Chinese miniatures suites.
