Charming silver metallic Alpine style Hematite crystal but from Madagascar. These highly sought after iron oxide crystals from Madagascar are characterized by a sharp geometric form, mirror-like luster and distinct crystal face striations. The faces on this specimen mostly show one large set of triangular striations that are curiously rotated from the front display face to the back. The Hematite blade is complete all around with alternating bevelled edges. Some mottled oxidation texture has formed on the edges. There are also two small, 6 mm, crystals that have a cross-cutting orientation to the main crystal. A very clean, terminated, single Hematite crystal with a lustrous metallic display face.
