Lovely single blade of Hematite with a partial "rose" development from Madagascar. The 2.7 cm wide crystal has sub-parallel rosette growth, up to 9mm, on the front left side. The Hematite has a metallic luster and shining silver color with numerous and distinctive triangular growth striations across the face. The orientation and geometries of the striation patterns are fascinating, especially when zoomed in with a loop or macro lens. There is also a small amount of white Calcite at the base with slightly more wrapped around on the back. The piece is nearly complete all around with clean bevelled edges except for a tiny contact at the lower right corner. A great example of the Alpine type quality but from a Madagascar location (2023 finds).
