For the price, this is a really good sized classic bubble-gum pink Cobaltoan Smithsonite from the premier source of this variety - Tsumeb mine, Namibia. Sitting upon a miniature-sized piece of dark sulphidic/sulphosalt matrix, the Cobaltoan Smithsonite crystals are sharp, display a fine pearlescent lustre and great translucency, and encrust the whole display surface. Their crystal form is unusual - rhombic, but equant, rather than classic rhombs. Pretty indeed.
