Manganoan Smithsonite
Unknown Owner
This is a manganoan smithsonite rather than the stereotypical cobaltoan smithsonite. These manganoan smithsonites were mined 1984-1985 and are much harder to find than the cobaltoan variety. This particular specimen has the stereotypical matrix of pyrite and other sulfides that these manganoans often feature.
