Minohite is an extremely rare hydrated copper-zinc hydroxide and only found at a handful of localities worldwide which includes the Sunnyside Mine in Colorado. On this specimen, Minohlite occurs as small, light blue-green, discontinuous crusts associated with blue Linarite of a similar occurrence. The two species cover the display face of this attractive small cabinet piece. Collected by Robert Stoufer from an outcrop of the Sunnyside vein at the Sunnyside mine in 2012 (as George Loud's label indicates). Ex. Robert Stoufer and George Loud collections. This could be nicely trimmed into rich specimens for trade and exchange, as well, since it is a rich surface.
