Rhodonite with Galena
Unknown Owner
A rich very large miniature specimen of the classic Rhodonite-Galena association unique to the Broken Hill deposit in New South Wales, Australia. The Rhodonite is crystallized and displays the classic raspberry-red colour so characteristic of Broken Hill. Some of the crystals are gemmy, but most are quite rounded or distorted, which is what brings the price down relative to similar sized pieces with perfect gemmy block and bladed Rhodonite crystals. Nevertheless, this is still a rich classic and displays nicely the rich colour of this unusual, and somewhat bizarre occurrence.
