This fine Cuprite, Dolomite and Malachite specimen is from John Schneider's renowned Tsumeb miniature collection (no. 956). It has a lovely contrast of colours, reminiscent of a Christmas theme. The matrix is a plate of massive red Cuprite upon which is a thin layer of deep green finely crystallized Malachite. Upon the Malachite are patches of pearlescent white rhombic Dolomite and deep red-purple cubo-octahedral Cuprite crystals individually reaching 3 mm across. The specimen is mounted on an acryllic base from John Schneider's collection.
