A big, showy, textbook form of garnet crystal with the amazing mint green color of a Merelani tsavorite. In the gem trade, these are called the "king of garnets" for good reason! The crystal is contacted in back and has a few edge dings, but is nearly pristine on the display face and has a "look" to it that is very strong and dramatic. Almost no large tsavorite is perfect, for that matter, due to the nature of the deposit; and so most have some small bit of restoration or repair (and we have chosen not to restore the few dings here as they are trivial). In any case, it has a look bigger than the size and price might indicate. Just over 19 grams.
