Wire transfers available, to set up
An outstanding, ex-matrix thumbnail specimen of the rare species Cordylite-(Ce) from the classic Canadian locality of Mont Saint-Hilaire (MSH), La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, close, Montérégie (Montreal), Québec. Cordylite-(Ce) is a sodium-barium-cerium fluoro-carbonate and forms a translucent, 9 x 9 x 7 mm hexagonal tabular crystal of vivid barley sugar orange with a bright glassy lustre. The prism has bevelled edges so forming a truncated hexagonal pyramid, see both the photo and video. This is a magnificent example of this species, not only for MSH but anywhere it occurs, including its type locality in the Narssârssuk pegmatite,, Igaliku, Kujalleq, Greenland. This specimen completely overshadows specimen shown from MSH on mindat. Specimens from MSH without a specific quarry name are now recommended to be labelled "Poudrette quarry ", because this has now broken into the De-Mix and Uni-Mix sections. This Cordylite-(Ce) is a museum quality specimen which will make a stunning addition to the any high-end MSH collection.
