This is a seriously good small miniature of Descloizite from Berg Aukas mine in the Grootfontein District of Namibia, forming Christmas tree-like crystals of glorious, translucent, deep burnt orange to chestnut brown. The crystals rest on a granular matrix of micro-rhombic Calcite crystals bound by a pervading cement of anhedral Descloizite. The largest (i.e. tallest) Descloizite crystal measures 2.4 cm and, as far as I can tell, all crystals are perfect without any damage. This miniature really does tick every box, it is simply beautiful.
