An old Mexican classic in style, here is a trio of transparent to translucent, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent crystals of Calcite from Charcas, Mexico with great provenance. These gorgeous, glassy crystals are colorless to whitish with translucent centers transitioning to transparent tips. These scalenohedral crystals are slightly flattened and stacked aesthetically grading from a 7.5 cm crystal at the base to a 6.2 cm crystal in the middle to a 5 cm one at the top. This is essentially a floater with only one very small point of attachment on the back, and the back looks almost as good as the front by the way! There are three important labels that accompany the piece verifying its significant provenance: Dr. Miguel Romero, University of Arizona Museum, to us and then to the David Stoudt collection in 2010.
