A one inch spray of gorgeous golden rutile shoots up and through and above a 1 inch quartz point, all frozen within a sphere of ultra clean, glasslike quartz! This is a unique object, in that we have both a quartz AND rutile preserved within as frozen works of art within the massive quartz that somehow covered them up and preserved them without destroying them when it formed. The combination is the only one like this we have seen, among thousands of spheres, and it comes from a private and high-level collection in China specializing in such rarities and assembled over decades. 516 grams
