Vauxite

This is a relatively large specimen of this classic old Bolivian material to have survived intact for decades. It would have come out in the 1980s from a remarkable discovery considered best of species by many for the size and beauty of these sparkling crystal plates. This is a beautiful, shimmering plate of solid vauxite, composed of thousands of small crystals, and they are unique in this style to this find and place and almost unheard of from other locations so this has both rarity and beauty going for it.
