A beautiful large thumbnail of pale coral pink Smithsonite crystals covering a matrix of dark Galena from Tsumeb mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. The Smithsonite forms translucent rhombohedral crystals to about 4 mm on edge. Transmitted light causes a bright silvery band along each crystal edge while individual prisms all display a lovely silky lustre.
