Tucson, Arizona, USAA chain of intergrown, rich apple-green Cuprian Smithsonite crystals, each to about 1 cm, form an arch flat against a dolomitic matrix. This large miniature is from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia and is a beautiful example of this copper-rich variety of the zinc carbonate, Smithsonite. The orange-tan massive Dolomite matrix forms a triangular display face which is conveniently angled at about 45 degrees, perfect for display. Sub-millimetre cream coloured crystals of Dolomite coat this surface, against and over which the arc of Cuprian Smithsonite has crystallised. The crystals are a very good size (to over 1 cm) and colour for this species from Tsumeb.
